Gregory Bernard Ray, was born February 28, 1964 in Kansas City, MO to Clifton and Vivian Ray. He grew up in Kansas City, MO and Oklahoma. He was united in Holy matrimony to Debra Howard-Ray in 2001. He’s preceded in death by his son Desmond Ray, father Clifton Ray Sr., his grandparents Jeff and Evelyn Ray and James and Burla (Big Mama) Marshall.

Greg was baptized on March 15, 2014 and became a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Van Horn High School of Kansas City, MO. Greg had a full ride scholarship to play football in Oklahoma but instead joined the National Guard. After National Guard he was an entrepreneur with his father as a mechanic. Then he later went to work for Intec Construction Company where he worked for many years.

Greg was a loving man. One thing you can’t take from him is that He Loved His Family and He Had A Great Heart. If he wasn’t watching sports or Law In Order he was outside working on a Car. Mr Workaholic!!

He leaves to cherish his Mother, Vivian Ray of Kansas City, MO; His wife of 18 years, Debra Howard-Ray; his Son, Gregory Ray Jr. of Arizona; Daughters, Teonisha Howard, Areo Fernandez (Roberto) of Kansas City, MO and Tina Johnson of California; three brothers, Clifton Ray Jr., Dwight Ray (Linda) of Kansas City, MO and Richard Ray (Tierney) of Blue Springs, MO; one sister, Deborah White-Sanchez (Henry) of Kansas City, MO; Grandchildren, Aniyah Tyler, D’Juan Morrison Jr, Desmond Fernandez, and Michael Fernandez all of Kansas City, MO; Brother in Laws, Genie Howard and Raymond Howard X (Raponia) of Kansas City, MO and Sister in Laws, Rosalinda Washington (John), Patricia Rivers of Kansas City, MO and Barbara Weatherspoon (Clint) of Arkansas. A host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins and close friends.
