Henry Harris

Henry G. Harris was born on September 9, 1933 to Clarise & Willie Harris in Plain Dealing, LA. Henry attended Carrie Martin High School. He was married to Dorothy Ruth Harris. Henry owned a lawn service in LA. He accepted Christ at a very young age in the Church of Christ. He attended Russell Road Church of Christ in LA where he was a Van Driver, took communion to the sick and shut in; Song leader and lead prayer. He later moved to Kansas City and attended Swope Parkway Church of Christ where he lead prayer. He was very active in both congregations. In his past time, he liked to fish, play dominoes and most importantly, he loved being with his family. Henry was no stranger to anyone he came across, he could have a conversation with anyone with his loving and refreshing personality. Henry is preceded in death by his mother, father and all four of his brothers and his two sisters. He leaves, daughters Ethel Wilson Moore, Lawanah Joseph, Cherly Garrett. Granddaughter Sabrina Moore (Frank), grandson, Johnny Harris, Will Jefferson (Lorettta, Adriene Saldana Truty (LA). Five great granddaughters Porcia Mitehell (Morris), Raven Linvingston, Denisha Bluett (LA), Denesha Bluett (LA), Asia Saldana (LA) two great sons, Donte' Moore (KC) Nicholas Saldana (LA), & four great-great grandchildren all who he loved dearly. A host of nieces, nephews & cousins in Shreveport, LA, Galveston, Texas and of course his extended family or Brothers and Sisters in Christ at the Swope Parkway Church of Christ in Kansas City, MO.
