Howard Jackson Jr.

Howard Walter Wendel Jackson, Jr. was born on February 28, 1944 in Kansas City Missouri to Howard Walter Wendel Jackson, Sr. and Doris Johnson. Howard was the first grandchild born to the family.

Howard attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri School District. Howard worked for the Jackson County and retired from the county.  Howard was married to Freddie Dorsey and to that union three children were born, Denise, Doris and Howard III. Doris was named after Howard’s mother. Howard enjoyed playing Bid Whist and Dominoes with his family. He played to WIN and he was a truly “serious” player. Howard talked and he wanted you to listen and he did get your attention. He made it known that he was the first born to Doris and Howard and family and it showed in his Authority.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents Doris Perkins and Howard Jackson, Sr. Also, both his Maternal and Paternal Grandparents.

Howard lives to cherish his memories: his wife, Innocentia Moloto-Jackson; children, Denise Jackson, Doris Smith, and Howard Jackson III (Michelle), all of Kansas City, Missouri; sisters, Mary Taylor of Kansas City, Missouri and Cecilia Jackson-Moore of Seguin, Texas; stepmother, Catherine Jackson; sisters and brothers, Alfred Jackson, Mioshi Neal-Stovall (Ralph), and Edna Gray, all of Kansas City, Missouri and Garland Jackson of Carthage, Missouri; 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren; special friends, Ralph Jackson and Larry Mosby; and a host of relatives and friends that will miss him greatly.
