Mr. Howard Vincent was born November 26, 1941, in Monticello, Arkansas, to the late Mr. Sola Vincent and Fannie Hill. He was the eldest of 11 children.
He grew up and was educated in Monticello, Arkansas. Howard later met and married Dixie Jean Henderson and relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. He began working for REW Materials and later with the Kansas City Missouri School District at Lincoln Prep High School until retirement.
He attended Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ, and accepted Christ in 1976 under Bishop C.N. Rucker. Howard later attended Greater Works Ministries, until his death, under Bishop Travis C. Shockley.
Howard was a loving father of four children: Jackie, Maurice, Kenneth Ray, and Lisa.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Dixie Jean Vincent; sons, Maurice, and Kenneth Ray; brothers, Richard Vincent, Roy Lee Vincent, Alvin Hill, Felton Hill, and Clifford Hill; and sisters, Loretta Hill, and Mattie Randolf.
Howard departed this life on August 3, 2023, at the Azria Health Memory Clinic in Olathe, Kansas. He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Jacqueline Clark (Danny) of Gardner, KS., and Lisa Shockley (Travis) of Olathe, KS; sisters, Annette Vincent of Monticello, Arkansas, Dorothy Moore of Oakland, California; brother, George Vincent of Oakland, California; a dear friend, Ms. Barbara of Kansas City, MO., 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends he loved dearly.
