Inez E. "Nelson" Davis

Inez E. "Nelson" Davis was born December 25, 1922 in Kansas City Kansas to McKinley and Emma Nelson. She attended Lincoln High School where she graduated in 1940.

Inez was proud, strong, charismatic, tenacious and deeply loved. She loved and cared for those around her with an uncanny fervor. She had a keenness for community and a fire for family. She was a homemaker, counselor, entrepreneur and neighborhood watch coordinator, many things to many different people. There wasn’t a place she went where she wasn’t loved or sought after.

She was called home to receive her wings on November 22, 2017 at 8:22 am at the age of 94 in her daughter’s home, with September and Tangerine by her side. She fought a good fight.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thurman “Good Time” Williams, her sons Curtis (CL) Lorenzo Nelson and Preston Nelson.

Inez is survived by her sons Darryl (DJ)

Johnson and Evans Andre (Larry) Nelson of Kansas City Kansas. As well as Three daughters September (Nelson) Hill and Tangerine Nelson both of Kansas City Missouri and Billy Jean Reed (Shekeena) of San Diego, California. Inez had a special cousin Michael J. Tobler, who was caring, trusting, he was her "ride or die" that lived with her for many years to make sure she was ok. And for that the family will be forever grateful, Thanks "Uncle Mike️"!!!!!

She also leaves to mourn a host of Grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and extended honorary family members.

Inez will be truly missed!
