Isaiah John Wilson of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2025, just two days shy of his 16th birthday. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Isaiah was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. He lived in Raytown, Missouri, and was beginning his sophomore year at Raytown South High School.
Isaiah is survived by a loving and extensive family who cherished him deeply. On his maternal side: grandmother Jaylena Keeling, grandfather Marcus Keeling, mother Jasmine Murphy, stepfather Artarious George, sisters Promise Murphy and Neveah George, niece Sa’mora Williams, aunt Nicole Brown, uncle Dannon Abney, and aunt Amaya Keeling.
On his paternal side: grandfather Carl Wilson Sr., grandmother Louise Wilson, father Carl Wilson Jr., stepmother Tracey Wilson, sisters Faith Wilson and Gabby Wilson, stepbrother Jeremiah Washington, aunt LaTeak Nelson, aunt Meka Haynes, uncle Jeremy Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Isaiah was known for his gentle spirit, kind heart, and quiet strength. He had a personality that radiated warmth—funny, sweet, and always a little silly in the best way. He was calm and thoughtful, often keeping to himself, yet his presence was magnetic. Isaiah had a deep sense of loyalty and brotherhood among his friends, and he cared deeply for everyone around him.
He was full of life, a team player, and fiercely independent. His sense of humor could brighten any room, and his deep voice and goofy laughter will echo in the hearts of those who loved him. Isaiah taught us to appreciate the simple moments, to laugh freely, and to love without hesitation.
Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will be everlasting. Isaiah’s memory will live on in the stories we share, the love we carry, and the quiet strength he showed us all.
