Jaevon Pennington

Jaevon Dominique Pennington, 27, transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday October 21, 2023, at Hidden Lake Care Center in Raytown, Missouri.  He was born on August 19, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri to Victoria McDowell (Little) and Jamal Pennington.

Although he began elementary school in Greenville North Carolina, Jaevon’s roots were in Kansas City Missouri.  He was a Culinary Arts student and graduated from Winnetonka High School in 2014.  He enjoyed watching anime, making origami, reading fantasy books and comic books, but his first love was food and video games.  He also enjoyed hanging out with his family.  No matter where he went, Jaevon’s beautiful and radiant smile would greet you.

Jaevon is preceded in death by his cousins, Sean Polk, Er’Reon Little, and Angelina Washington; his brother, JaMyron Steele; his aunt, Savedra Arthur; and bonus grandmother, Ora Henderson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Victoria McDowell and Jamal Pennington; his stepfather, Charles McDowell; his bonus dads, Walter Wilson and Eric Triplett Sr; his sisters, Victoria Wilson, Kayla Helms, Jayla Steele, and Imani Steele; his brothers, Eric Triplett Jr. and Kevin Helms Jr; his maternal grandparents, Bessie Little and Cortez Francis; his paternal grandmother, Gwendolyn Pennington; his maternal aunts and uncles, Curtis and Carmon Miller, Christopher Little, Gloria Little, Latosha Little, Iris Little, and Eric Little Sr, and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
