Jamar "Gator" Finley was born June11, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri. Gator was the second eldest child of four to the union of Kenneth Wayne Finley and Jimmie Lee "Jimmy" Finley. He received his education in Kansas City, Missouri and attended East High School. Gator accepted Christ at an early age and rededicated his life in 2014 at Fellowship Right Baptist Church. Gator was a loving father, son and brother. He enjoyed family gatherings, joking around, begging for a "couple dollars" and calling loved ones on the phone at 7:00 in the morning. Gator really just loved getting on everyone's nerves, but that is what made everyone love him. Gator was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Frances "Bootsie" Caldwell and Juliana "Momma Dear" Barnett; grandparents, Naomi Johnson, Arthur Bubble" Caldwell and Richard Jenkins; and one uncle, Ricardo Herron. He leaves to cherish his memory, father, Kenneth; mother, Jimmy; sister, Kenyetta "Yoshie"' two brothers, Kenny and William "Still Will"; sons, Kendall, Kendale, Jamar Jr. and Kamar; daughters, Jamiyiah, Rekiyah, Kahliyah, Smiyih; nephews, Tra, Kenny, Lemuel, nieces, Janesse, Najah, Kieya; maternal grandmothers, Norma Jenkins, Vernice Thompson; special friend Theresa Griswold and a host of family and friends.
