It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jamell Latray Funderburke of Kansas City, MO on August 2, 2021, at the age of 31 years. He was born to James William Funderburke Jr. and Coretta Alexander on May 16, 1990. Jamell attended Raytown High School where he made a host of lifelong friends. He was big on family especially his daughters who were and will forever be his world. Everyday he got up and strived to be a better man than he was the day before. Worked very hard to make his loved ones proud and even harder to make his father proud. Music gave him life! He had a passion for creating music and freestyling whenever he could. Anyone that knew him knew you couldn’t go anywhere without him freestyling at anytime or place. Jamell was so much like his dad when it came to being in the kitchen. He enjoyed eating and cooking. Most beautiful soul you could find.
He was proceeded in his death by his grandparents James William Funderburke Sr., James Alexander, and Rosie Lee Alexander. He is survived by his grandmother Bettye Funderburke, parents James William Funderburke Jr and Coretta Alexander, twin sister Jameka Funderburke and baby sister Brianna Funderburke, brothers Curtis Alexander, Roy Shankle, James Funderburke III, Daughters Jamiyah Lashay Funderburke (Tiana Pouncil) Eden Laurene Funderburke (Toni Miller) , Stepson Dar’ion Hall and fiancé Shauntae Miller. As well as a host of aunties, uncles, and cousins.
