James Bailey

James Eugene Bailey also known as, “Jimmy” was born on, March 27, 1950, to Fredrick and Mildred Bailey. His early years were spent in Argentine, Kansas where he was born. While in grade school his family moved to Kansas City, Missouri.

James loved spending time with his daughter, and sisters. He loved fishing with his close friend, Percy Davis. James also loved family barbeques, but above all he loved his dog, Bengie.

James played a lot of roles in people lives, but his biggest role was being “Pawpaw” for his “boys”. He loved hanging on the porch, listening to them, giving advice, and talking smack.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick, and Mildred Bailey; four brothers, Arthur Bailey Sr., Fredrick Bailey Jr., William Bailey, and Howard Bailey; and two sisters, Maxine Green, and Lela Hall; son, James Arthur Warren; and grandson, Monrico Fletcher

James leaves behind his daughter, Rolonda Fletcher (Ricky); son, Byron Cunningham; two sisters, Lolita Taylor, and Beverly Bailey; 15 grandchildren, including 2 special grandchildren, Carl Counce, and Chazney Bailey; great-grandchildren, Rashawn Doss, and Christopher Doss; nieces, Tammy Roland (Percy),  Stephaine Lasswell (Jason), and Ebony Williams; nephews, William Sterling (Meredith), Rasheem Bailey, and Arthur Bailey (Ella); and host of great nieces, nephews and other relatives.
