James L Edwards

James L. Edwards III, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 with his family by his side.

James was welcomed into the world on August 27, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born to loving parents, James and Thelma Edwards. James graduated from Raytown High School in 1979 and served in the United States Air Force for 11 years, where he fueled engine jets. After his honorable discharge, he furthered his career working at General Motors for 26 years.

James (Bugs), took great pride in his home and family. He was a great debater and often engaged in philosophical discussions on religion, race and sports. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling and learning about different cultures and customs. James was an avid walker and loved to listen to all types of music. He also loved spending time with his family on holidays and special occasions.

James Edwards III was preceded in death by his father, James Edwards Jr. James will forever be in the hearts of his mother Thelma Edwards of Olathe KS; Brothers, Terry Edwards, Tracy Edwards (Sherizanne) of Fort Worth, TX; Two nephews, Tracy Edwards II and Myles Edwards of Fort Worth, TX; Aunts, Evelyn Hill (Clifford), Rita Tucker (Emmitt), Minister Judy Jones (Warren), Pat Brown (Dennis) and Donna Douglas (Ronnie); Uncles, Carl (Laynette) Wynne, Oliver (Almarena) Wynne, Freddie Wynne, Randy Wynne and a host of cousins.
