Jana Lee Johnson

Jana L. Johnson, 63, passed away on February 20, 2017 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. She was born on April 6, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to Donald and Patricia Yeager. She grew up in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Raytown South High School in Raytown, MO. After high school she attended Kansas City Business College where she focused on accounting.

Jana married George Johnson on August 31, 1974 in Kansas City, MO. They were happily married for 42 years. Jana was one of a kind. She loved her family with everything she had. She would give you her last dollar, or George’s last dollar. She was funny, quick witted and could make anyone laugh. She was a free spirit so to speak. Jana adored her grandchildren, Hailey, Blake, Jude, Maddox, Laney, Emerson and Preston. She made each one of them feel special. Jana will be sorely missed. She was the best she could be. Jana loved the Lord with all of her heart and could quote scripture like nobody else.

Jana was preceded into death by her father Donald Yeager, brother-in-law Terry Kelly, niece Lynn Ann Kelly, and grandson Preston Hinson.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Pat Yeager, husband George Johnson, sons Randy Johnson and Lonnie Johnson (Jenny), daughter Casey Hinson (Lance), sisters Nancy Kelly and Claudia Wilson (Steve), brother Mark Yeager, 7 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
