Janice Weatherspoon Jones was born in Augusta Arkansas to Ilee and Ruthie Mae Weatherspoon on April 7, 1948. Both parents, two brothers (Kenneth and Ilee Weatherspoon) and two sisters (Vivian D McCay and Teresa Witt) preceded her into death. In earlier years she attended Kansas City Public Schools WW. Janice accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized by Rev. William Wilson at Skylight Baptist Church. In 1960 she and her family joined Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church where Walter J. Witherspoon was pastor. She had a wonderful singing voice and was a member of several choirs. Janice was a member of Good Samaritan until her passing.

Janice and Bobby met in high school, fell in love, and married on July 1, 1967. After her new husband completed basic training in the Airforce, she joined him in San Antonio, Texas where they began their new life together. Janice and Bobby were married for 56 years. To this union two sons were born.

Janice was a beautiful person inside and out. She was also very talented and creative. She was known for making her amazing porcelain dolls and doll houses. She also loved to interior decorate and style hair.

Janice worked for the IRS for 27 years as a clerk. She retired in 2004. After retirement she spent her time on her hobbies and being with her family.

Janice is survived by her husband Bobby G Jones, son Robert G Jones (Tina), son Bryan K Jones (Theresa), granddaughters Alexus, Brittany, Alexius, Lauren, grandsons Logan and Adrian, and great granddaughter Devree.
