Janice Rimmer

Janice Rimmer, (Jaz) passed away on June 14, 2017. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 12, 1960 to Ailean Burnside Charles, and Mitchell McHenry.

She graduated from Southeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where she played the drums in the high school band. She played basketball in the community. Janice later began her career as a cook for several restaurants throughout the city. She also enjoyed working at the Arrowhead Stadium.

She was united in holy matrimony to Robert Lee Hill, Sr and to this union they had three children; MarRica Prewitt, Te-Airera Hill, and Robert Lee, Hill Jr. Janice was a mother, friend, sister, and a mentor to the youth. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior. Janice (Jaz) enjoyed being with her kids, grand kids, family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, skating, and dancing. Janice was always willing to give. She always put others first.

She was preceded into death by her parents, Ailean Burnside Charles, and Mitchell McHenry, her siblings; Stanley Rimmer, Fredericka Rimmer, Marilyn Rimmer, Darlene Harper, Jackie Rimmer, Steve Tinsley, David McHenry, Lovie McHenry, her grandson; Marcel Prewitt, as she would call him, “Winky”, whom she loved dearly, and the father of her children; Robert Lee Hill, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memory MarRica Prewitt (Sal), Te-Airera Hill, and Robert Lee, Hill Jr, Arthur Rimmer, Mitchell McHenry, James Tinsley, Carl McHenry, Anthony Tinsley, Stanley Tinsley, Michael Tinsley, Brend Allen, Tawania Morris, Paula Roana McHenry, Yvette Tinsley, Lewis Hill, Dorothy Hill, Gloria Hill, Alice Hill, Raven Prewitt, Emonee Hill, Damontae Hill, Nykil Thomas, Rahiem Hill, and Mason Hill.
