Janice Marie Watson Winston was born June 24,1957 to Clara L. Watson-McDonald and Willie James Watson. Known to many people as “Cookie”, she was the second child of four, she was the prettiest little thing. Lol! Janice graduated from Paseo High School in 1975, then attended National American University obtained her Associate’s degree in Information Technology. Later receiving a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration. She was a member of Southside First Missionary Baptist Church serving in compacities and was an active member of the Paseo Alumni Class of 1975.

Janice “Cookie” was a jokester and class clown in school, she lived for a good laugh and always fashionable and kept herself looking good. She had the biggest heart; she was everyone’s best friend. Janice was a confident to many people, her dedication and loyalty will be the greatest memory we’ll cherish forever.

Janice was employed by GEHA for 40 plus years in the Auditing department and retired as a Fraud Analyst. One of the happiest accomplishments was obtaining her Black belt in Takwando. Janice was the conduit of her family; she was a doting Mother and Grandmother. Even the kids in her Sunday School class were the recipient of her love and generosity. Janice thanks those who’ve positively impacted her life in anyway. Janice was proceeded in death by her sister Gwendolyn Watson Arnold and Stephanie McDonald, her brother James Watson and her daughter Jessica Marie Winston.

She leaves her spouse of 40 years: Kevin V. Winston Sr.; children: Keyana A. Winston (Sean Norton), Kevin “Breeze” V. Winston II (Delana Winston) and Janita R. Winston: sister Joyce Z. Lindsey, God sister Beverly Anderson. Siblings: Marva Nunn, Gwen Gregory, Vivirae Walker, Ricky McDonald, Howard McDonald, Jr., Juan McDonald, Wayne McDonald. Grandchildren: Kaicey McKenzie, Kye Norton, Aidin Gunnels, Katlyn Norton, Ascher Winston and Asa Winston, and a host of family and dear friends.
