Mr. Jarrell Mikel Hill Sr. quietly slipped away in the early morning of February 8, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1986, to Alfred and Jamesetta Lacey in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the youngest of three children.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred James Lacey Jr.; grandfather, James C. Hill; a dear cousin, Keylan Hill and a special friend, Shatavia Williams.
Jarrell was baptized at Bethlehem Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Bennie Young.
He attended Brancroft Elementary school, Swinney Elementary school, Ervin Middle school, Westport High school before graduating from Hickman Mills High school in the class of 2005.
“Mikel” was a well-loved person, and he loved his family and friends dearly. He enjoyed attending our annual “Family Reunion” picnics. And, he really enjoyed playing cards, chess and dominoes.
He leaves to cherish his everlasting memories, his children; Jarrell Mikel Hill Jr., Janell Mykel Hill, and Jeremiah Markel Hill; mother, Jamesetta Lacey; brothers, James Carlos Hill and Alfred “Jarvis” Roberts; grandmother, Barbara Hill; Goddaughter, Loren Howard-Jones; nephew Ayden Roberts; close friends, Dexter Curry and Brittney Howard and a host of other relatives and friends.
