Jeff Hughes

Jeff Earl Hughes was born on March 2, 1932 in Mounds Illinois. He was the fourth child born to Mr. Jeff Hughes and Bessie Ann McNeil Smith. Jeff departed his life on Saturday May 14, 2016. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Jeff Hughes, mother Bessie Ann Smith, brothers, George Hughes and Sylvester Sr., sisters: Willie Mae Gillmore, Helen Copeland and Evelyn McCallister, grand-daughters, Sade LaTracy and Lynn Brown Jeff attended Douglas High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Army 101st Air Borne Screaming Eagles at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1964. Jeff worked at Sosland Envelope in Kansas City, Missouri from 1964 until 1979. He also worked at KC Envelope Company from 1979 until 2006. Jeff received the Lord at a very young age at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church Mounds, Illinois. He was a humorous man who loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed traveling in his younger days and watching old western shows. He also enjoyed sports and was a humanity to society. Jeff was the neighborhood watch. His fellow neighbors said the block will never be the same. Jeff Earl Hughes leaves to cherish his memory; seven beautiful children: Wanda Faye Brown (Norman) Carol Jean Banjo, Tracy Lovings - Hardy, George Lovings Sr. (Syronica Lovings) Carmen Whitted, Tasha McCon and Jeff Earl Jr. Hughes; step children: Pheobea Lovings, Joann Lovings-Foster, Jennifer M Loring, Neal D. Lovings, Lisa R, Ward, Jimmie Williams, Carmika Hughes and Dewayne Walker; biological grandkids: Kyione Nicole Allen, Ashley Banjo, Tamara Lyfaye Ann Lovings,Norman Lovings, Kiante Green, Denika Warren, George Lovings Jr. Denzel McCon, Solomon Justice Banjo and Deonta Whitted ; great-grandkids; Sade Lovings, Cayden Lovings, Steven Key Lee, Marcus Monte Webb, Hayden, Alayla & Aiden Green. He also leaves a host of other relatives, step grand kids, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
