Jeffery S. Wright

Jeffery Scott Wright, 60, of Kansas City, MO passed on Friday, May 10, 2024, at his home. Jeffery was born on January 17, 1964, in Kansas City, MO to Leon Wright and Kathleen (McKee) Wright. Preceding him in death was his Father Leon Wright of Glasgow, MO.

Jeffery received his education in the Kansas City Public Schools, graduating from Southeast High School, in Kansas City, MO. Jeffery worked for the the City Public Works Department, Field Operations Division as a Operation Supervisor for over 20+ years. He was a member of the Mason Lodge 170 and a member of the Union with his Job with the City. Jeffery enjoyed playing his video games, music and cooking.

The love that Jeff had for his Mama was like no other, their bond was unbreakable! Everyone who knew Jeff was very aware that he was a "Mama's Boy", he truly Loved his Mama and she Loved him. Jeffery was such a proud father to his only son, Leon. He loved and admired Leon and all of his life's accomplishments, he was very strict and stern but his love for his son was unnoticed.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Kathleen Wright; his only son, Leon J. Rush; his only granddaughter, Marlee J. Rush, both of Kansas City, MO. He also leaves behind a very close cousin, like a brother, Larry Wright (LaToya) of Kansas City, MO., and a host of uncles, Aunts, cousins, co­ Workers and friends.
