Jerome L. Lee, affectionately known as “Big Tone” or “Tony,” of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, was born on July 9, 1972, to Jean E. Lee and Daniel Williams. His parents preceded him in death, After a courageous

battle with health issues, Jerome gained his heavenly reward and now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord.

A proud product of Kansas City Public Schools, Jerome discovered an early passion for cooking that led him to pursue work as a chef and caterer. He was infamous among family and friends for bringing people together through food, laughter, and love. His grill was his happy place, always surrounded by good music, and even better company.

On October 26, 2019, Jerome married the love of his life, Melissa Lee (Braden). Together, they blended a beautiful family that he cherished deeply: daughter, Zakhyria, son, Aston and Matthew, and their beloved cat, Socks.

Tony never met a stranger-everyone who crossed his path became family. His heart was big, his laugh unforgettable, and his presence filled every room with warmth and joy. He was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, proudly sporting his Chiefs gear every game day, cheering on his team with unmatched passion.

Jerome leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Melissa Lee; his beloved children, Zakhyria, Aston, and Matthew; his sisters, Regina Welch (Matthew) of Grandview, Missouri, and Marla Lee (Eric) of Phoenix, Arizona; his brothers, Jay Lee (Crystal) of Kansas City, Missouri; uncles, Kenneth Lee (Rochelle), Donald Lee, and Samiel Lewis; aunts, Renae Powell, Kimberly Block, and Roslyn Patterson; mother-in-law, Michelle Fitzpatrick; father-in-law, Kirk Braden; brothers-in-law; Kirk, Brandon, and Steven; sisters-in-law, Kiranda (Drew), and Stephanie )Tony); honorary grandchildren, Alyssah and Alani, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends that he considers family. Jerome’s legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on through all who knew and loved him.
