Jerry C. Battee

Jerry Battee, 64, was born in Tyler, TX. He was born to C.B. and Dorothy Battee on December 20, 1960.

They soon moved to Kansas City, MO, where they raised their children.

Jerry graduated from Paseo High School in 1979. While at Paseo he played football, his position was tightend.

Jerry joined the Navy in May of 1981, and he was honorably discharged in 2003.

He later began working for Yellow Cab and retired in 2020.

Jerry loved having a good time with his family and friends. He also loved to eat.

Jerry embodied the true definition of a laid back, charismatic man. He had a smile that could light up a room, and a laugh that was highly contagious! Overall, he is going to be dearly missed.

He leaves many to cherish his honorable memories, and he has many that are waiting to welcome him with open arms along with our Lord and Savior.

He is preceded in death by his parents C.B. and Dorothy Battee; his brothers: Ricky Battee and Earl McGary; his sisters: Sheila Childs and Shirley Battee; his daughter Shenise Batte; his great nephew Jay Samon Jones.

He is survived by his daughter ShaNora Timely; his sisters: Freda Battee, Debra Battee, and Venita Tilford; his grandchildren: Antonia, ShaMilah, Terron Jr., Kenya and Kendra; his great grandchildren: Elan, Akylia, Terrell, Milani, Amoura, Truu, and Jayda; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
