Jesse Veal

Jessie Veal, 78, died at Research Medical Center on Saturday July 25, 2020 in Kansas City, MO. He was born on June 1, 1942 in Lecompte, LA, to Lula Mary and Willie Veal, Sr. As a young man at the age of 21, he moved to Kansas City for work his first job was at Holiday Inn in North Kansas City where he met and later married Octavia Veal, they have no children together. The marriage later ended in divorce he never remarried. Jessie worked several jobs in later years as a mechanic, private security, and a chef cook for a nonprofit organization. Jessie loved to cook and often cooked and served meals to his neighbors in the Swope Ridge Gardens Senior Citizen Complex, where he lived for many years. As Jessie’s health declined, he had to move to an Assisted Living Facility, Redwood South, where he was presently living. Jessie was admitted to Research Medical Center on July 19, 2020.

Jessie loved listening to music and watching Old Western. Jessie will be sadly missed by. He was preceded in death by both parents, 2 sisters Olivia Johnson, and Bernadine Veal of Kansas City, MO, 2 brothers Joseph Page of Alexandria, LA and Daniel R. Veal of Oakdale, LA.

He is survived by 4 sisters: Rosie Lee Wright, K.C, Alice Veal, Alexandria, LA., Annie Veal and Eulo Williams of Chesapeake, VA., and host of nieces, nephews, and relatives and friends.
