Listen to Obituary

On January 7, 2024, the heavens gained a faithful servant as Pastor Jimmie Webb was called home to Glory. He peacefully departed at the family home in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and service.

Born on November 11, 1939, in Charleston, Missouri, to Allen D. Webb and Georgia Annie Mae Webb, Pastor Webb's journey was marked by devotion to God and his community. On April 24, 1960, he embarked on a lifelong journey with his beloved wife, Earline S. Scott, celebrating 60 years of marriage and being blessed with four children.

In 1966, the couple relocated to Kansas City, Missouri, where Pastor Webb began a distinguished career with Ford Motor Company, serving as an Assembly Line Wielder for 26 years. However, it was in September 1974, as a member of Skylight Baptist Church, that he answered a higher calling and became an Ordained Minister of the Gospel.

A true servant of God, Pastor Webb, alongside First Lady Sister Webb, founded Millennium Baptist Church in November 1999. Tirelessly devoted to his ministry, he shared the word of God with a humble spirit and an ever-present smile. Whether teaching, counseling, or offering words of encouragement, Pastor Webb was always ready to minister to those in need—a man truly after God's own heart.

Continuing his commitment to knowledge, Pastor Webb pursued higher education and achieved his BCH.M,MBS in March 2008 from The Sure Foundation Theological Institute, followed by his Doctoral Degree in August 2009 from the same institute.

Pastor Jimmie Webb was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Earline S. Webb, and ten siblings. He is survived by his loving children Patricia (Christopher) Liddell, Dennis (Rochelle) Webb, Freda Webb-Williams, Jimmy (Tracy) Webb Jr., Paula Webb-Smith, along with 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Survived also by his siblings George Dean Webb, Valerie Webb, Arbella Miles, and Frances Webb, Pastor Webb leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
