Joann Burgin

JoAnn Jones Burgin, 77, passed away on January 18, 2021 at home in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born on February 18, 1943 to Jeff Jones and Lillie Bell. JoAnn graduated from Wyandotte High School, and attended AUTS Technical School in KCK, where she received her PARA Teacher Degree. JoAnn began work for HD. Lee CO. as a stocking desk where she worked for 23 years. JoAnn was a member of Zeta Amicae Auxiliary and got many recognitions such as Christian Woman of the year, and Alpha Epsilon Beta Sorority KCK.

JoAnn married Hollis R. Burgin on September 16, 1961 in Kansas City KS; they were happily married for 59 years.

She was preceded into death by her mother Lilly Bell, Father Jeff Jones, siblings, Beverly Jones, Barbra Jean Woods, Herbert Lee Jones.

JoAnn is survived by her husband Hollis Burgin, her sister Casandra Lynch, her for 4 children: Hollis Burgin Sr., Calvin Burgin, Joe Burgin, and Shaun Burgin, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
