Joann Richardson

JoAnn Richardson was born in Columbia, Missouri on March 22, 1945 to the late John Washington and Pearlie M. Richardson. She departed her life on June 2, 2022 with loved ones by her side. JoAnn received her formal education in the public school system of Columbia, Missouri and graduated from Douglas High School. She was baptized in her earlier ages at Second Baptist Church, where she also accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. JoAnn worked in the Kansas City, Missouri school district as a cafeteria manager for many years where she later on retired from. JoAnn was known for her loving personality. She was that one family member or friend that you could go to and talk about anything. She had a smile that would brighten up any and every room she was in. JoAnn was also known for her stories. She ALWAYS had a story to tell, even if you didn’t have a clue who she was talking about, you would still sit and listen. She was just that amazing and exciting of a woman. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents: John Washington and Pearlie M. Richardson; Brother: James Richardson; Son: David Richardson JoAnn leaves to cherish her memories: Sons: Michael Richardson and Steven Richardson (Columbia, MO); Sister: Wanza Parker (Chicago, IL); Aunt: Charlene Burnett (Kansas City, MO); twelve grandchildren; thirty four great-grandchildren; a host of family and friends; A special and dedicated granddaughter Kia Richardson; A special relationship with Bernetta Hunter whom she consider a daughter; A dedicated cousin Dechele Richardson
