John Powell Dennis

John Powell Dennis was born on February 13, 1995 to John Calvin Dennis and Helen Marie James. John grew up in Platte City, Missouri and graduated from Platte County R-3 High School. During school, he attended Platte County Vocational School in Platte City, where he received a diploma in Diesel Mechanics. He also joined the Masonic Lodge in 2012 and served for five years. John began working for southwest Airlines a a ramp agent and remained there for two year and half years. John departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Platte City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oliver C. Dennis; grandmothers, Sandra Sax and Daisey Withrow; great-grandfathers, John W. Powell, Earl James and Earl Keough and great-grandmothers, Margaret L. Powell, Helen James and Hazel Keough. John leaves to cherish his memory, his father, John C. Powell; his mother, Marie James; his sisters, Ashlee Dennis and Dannielle Dennis; his uncles, James L. Dennis and Dole F. Dennis II, grandfather, Dale F. James; grandmother, Margaret T. Dennis and stepfather, Gabe Mick, among numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
