John Turner Jr.

Mr. John Edward Turner Jr. was born on August 2, 1952 to John Edward Turner and Joyce L. Bowman in Kansas City, Missouri. John attended Booker T Washington Elementary School and then went on to complete his education at Lincoln Senior High School. John served in the United States Navy. He started his journey August 16, 1971, and sailed on the USS Dixie AD/14. John loved working on the USS Dixie protecting and serving his country. He was united in marriage on November 29th, 1971, to Patricia Jackson. To this union, two daughters and one son were born, Lisa, John, and Kelly Turner. Later, he fathered two daughters Ebony (Starr) Jones and Desheila. John fellowshipped with St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Stewart Johnson. John Edward Turner Jr. peacefully departed this life on September 18, 2016. As he took hold of the loving hand of God, He ushered John into His very presence. He was proceeded in death by both parents John E. Turner and Joyce L. M. Washington, and his brother Daouda Yerodin Jalaladeen (James L. Clark) He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted children: Lisa Turner Jasper (Conrad), Kelly S. Evans (Mohammed), John E. Turner (Latrice) all of Kansas City Missouri, and Ebony Jones (Regina, mother) of Arlington, Texas. Eighteen grandchildren: Charles, Curtis, Consuela, Ca'Yone, Brian Jr., Patrick, Jae'ohn, Jordan, Ashley, Alana, Crystal, Aaron, Ayana, Issac, Elijah, Tyrae, Remi, Adrian. He also cherished his eleven children great grandchildren, Five Brothers: Nathan L. Turner, Albert G. Turner, Wesley O. Turner (Margie), Robert E. Turner, Mark A. Clark (Lavera) Four Sisters: Johnetta L. Durham(Clarence), Brenda J. Lacy, (Larry), Helen E. Hawkins (Lawrence), Mildred M. Washington. And a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives and friends.
