Listen to Obituary

Johnny June Smith Jr. Was born on November 9, 1973, to the late Johnny June Smith Sr. and Peggy Cyrus Smith in Kansas City, Missouri.

Johnny attended Westridge Elementary, Raytown South Middle and Raytown South High School. After graduation, he attended Longview Community College.

At 10 years old Johnny began his first career as a newspaper delivery person. At the age of 16 he worked for RL Jones & Sons Trucking washing trucks and would officially obtain his CDL. Roadway Packaging, UPS, and Grandview Auto Wash were also places where Johnny worked. One of his most prideful employers was the Missouri State Highway Patrol conducting vehicle inspections.

In 1992, Johnny met LaSeanda Frazier, and this union was blessed with two children.

Johnny was passionate about gardening, yardwork, and landscaping. He loved to plant flowers and admired them as they grew. He was a great helper to others whether it was picking up kids from school, washing someone’s car, or landscaping someone's yard.

When it came to cars, Johnny was a trendsetter often coming with the latest fads, one thing her was going to do was ride clean.

Johnny will be remembered for having a heart of gold, affectionately known by J.J. to his family and Abdullah Mac to his friends.

Johnny June Smith Sr. and his brother, Randy Ronnell Smith preceded him in death.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Peggy Smith, his wife, LaSeanda Frazier Smith, his son, Johnny Smith III (Brea); his daughters: Jaeauna Smith (Harold), Jasmine Frazier, Ja’Mesha Ester (Shawn); grandchildren: Jayceon Hill, Braylen Smith, Harlem Russell, and Baylee Smith.
