Joseph S. Irons, 64, departed this life on January 4, 2024, at Carmel Hills Rehab in Independence, Missouri. He was born on July 11, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to Houston Evens and Frances Luella Pipens.
He grew up in Wentzville, Missouri, and attended Wentzville High School.
Joseph began working for Frank Dorcy as Frank Dorcy Productions where he worked for over 15 years. He was involved in Community Service for The Gathering Table Lutheran Church.
He married Betty Hanks on April 5, 1987, in Kansas City, Missouri. They were together for 45 years, and happily married for 37 years.
Joseph is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Luella Pipens; his father, Houston Evens; twin sister, Mary Ann Irons; brother, Ronnie Wheeler; and granddaughter, Aaliyah Painter.
He is survived by his daughters, Nichelle R. Hanks, Latrisha D. Hanks, Sheena M. Hanks, LeAundre N. Harris, and Roxanne N. Thierry, his sons, Dana Hanks, and David Hanks; grandchildren, Jordan, Asia, Gannia, Malay, Macayla, Sydney, Azivia, Sacere, Ja’donn, Jo’sai, Denae, Dammon, Seven, Haven, Anthony, Alisha, Andre, Adian, Rhielle, Van; and great-granddaughter, Legacy, and a host of other relatives and friends.
