Joseph V. Sayers

Joseph V. Sayers_ 89, affectionally known as “Sonny” passed away on April 2, 2024, at Saint Lukes Hospital, in Kansas City, MO. He was born December 21st, 1934, to the union of Melvin and Gertrude Sayers growing up in Leeds Roundtop community. He attended Lincoln High School in Kansas City, MO.

Joseph was preceded in death by his mother and father Melvin and Gertrude Sayers, Paternal grandparents Joseph & Sarah Sayers, Maternal grandparents Archie & Hattie Kidd, Sisters, Mary L Nicholes, Shirley A. Zachery & Gertrude J. Cherry, Brother, Melvin F. Sayers

Joseph worked for Brooms Cadillac & Oldsmobile in Maintenance department fulfilling any task required. He retired in 2007 after 27 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed riding and repairing Motorcycles, Cars and loved his pets.

Joseph was dedicated son with the support of his sister Willa Mae took care of his mother seven plus years of her 104 years of life. Jospeh was a family man who made no excuses what was on his mind.

Joseph’s memories will be cherished by his daughter Angela Green (Edward), granddaughter

Gabreyele Green, sister Willa Mae Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
