Karen Davis, 53, was born May 20, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri to the parents of Bertha McDowell and Elvin D. Thomas, Sr., and later raised by her mother and step father John Page. She was proceeded in death by her father, Elvin D. Thomas, Sr.; brother, Lewis Jones, III; and sister, Jamie Tamara Hatti Page. Karen was introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age, and later found Jesus Christ for herself. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of God under the Leadership of Pastor Morris A. Brown, Sr. for over twenty years. Karen met Neal Anthony Davis, the love of her life, and they wedded on May 20, 1986 until the marriage dissolved. Karen attended the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools and received her General Education Diploma in 1985. She worked in several factories throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area and later received a Certified Nursing Assistance (CNA) License and worked as a Private Duty Nurse until her health failed her. Karen was a mentor, teacher, sister and a friend to many. She never looked down on anyone and always gave a helping hand. Karen adopted and nurtured many children within her family and neighborhood. Karen departed her life here on earth on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 in Kansas City, Missouri at home surrounded by her loved ones. She leaves to cherish her memories, thoughts and love: her husband, Neal A. Davis of Kansas City, MO; her mother, Bertha McDowell of Kansas City, MO; her step father, John Page of Beloit, IL; three daughters: Precious (Ryan) Richardson and Saidha Thomas of Kansas City, MO; and Tanjie (Patrick) Thomas of Memphis, TN; five brothers: Elvin D. Thomas, Jr and Willie (Brenda) Clemons of St. Louis, MO; Elvin (Shari) Thomas, Jr. and Gregory Page of Kansas City, MO; and Kevin McDowell of Memphis, TN; four sisters: Gwendolyn Curry and Allean (Herman) Keys of St. Louis, MO; Oldster Spencer and Ethel D. Thomas of Kansas City, MO; eight(8) grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
