Karren Y. Hardy was born August 26, 1966, in Shreveport, LA to Rev. Culton Hamilton and Rose Mary Hamilton. Karren accepted Christ at a young age being under the leadership of her father Rev. Culton Hamilton at Sunrise Baptist Church.

Karren grew up in Kansas City, KS, graduating from Washington High School C/O 1984. After high school, Karren attended Kansas City Kansas Community College where she received her license for Practical Nursing and later received her associate’s degree in early childhood. Afterward, she was a head start teacher at Peppermint Paddy and Panaroma daycare, became a Paraprofessional at District 500 for 25+ years. Karren loved youth so much she was involved with the Coronado Drill team, extracurricular activities, and became a youth counselor at St. Marks Summer camp for 10+ years.

Karren loved game shows and she was very talented with arts and crafts.

Karren united in holy matrimony with Willie Calvin Wilson in 1984. To this union, they welcomed 1 child together, Brittaney Wilson. While that marriage dissolved, they remained good friends and in 1989, she married Stanley Eugene Hardy Jr. and later divorced in 2002 where they also remained good friends. In 2008, Karren was blessed with her last child, Bailey Hamilton.

Her parents: Rev. Culton Hamilton and Rose Mary Hamilton preceded her in death.

Karren leaves to cherish her memory her daughters: Brittaney Leraye Wilson and Bailey Rose Hamilton; only grandchild, Dyn’ver Lachaun Jackson; sister, Galya M Fenney; grandmother, Mary Carolyn Lewis,; affectionately known as her other siblings, Barbara Parrish, Reginald Lee, Mario Osborne, George Rhodes, and the late Reginald Robinson; godsons: Javen and Justyce Betts, four nephews, and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
