Kathy D. Tyler, 58, was born August 24, 1960 in Newport, Arkansas to her loving parents, Edgar Peel Jr. and Nettie B. Glenn. Her Brother, Aaron Howard, and Granddaughter, Angel Washington, preceded her in death as well as her parents.
Kathy received her formal Education at Southeast High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Kathy was joined in holy matrimony to Marcus Tyler Sr. To this union three children were born; Marcus Jr, Maurice, and Kresha.
Kathy was employed by Jackson County Courthouse and Hamilton Lamp. Not only was Kathy committed to her job, she was faithful and committed to the Lord Jesus Christ. Kathy joined Pentecostal Church of God in Christ in her earlier years under the leadership of Bishop Daniel Jordan; and later joined Rejoicing Temple Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the Late Bishop Garfield Tyler. Until her health failed, Kathy was a member of Calvary Temple Pentecostal Church, Inc. under the leadership of the late Dr. Melgin Williams, serving faithfully in various compacities.
Kathy loved people and was well loved in return. If anyone knew Kathy, they knew she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, eat hot pickles and hot chips.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Marcus Tyler J,; Maurice Tyler; one daughter, Kresha (Kerri) Stallings all of Lenexa, Kansas; one brother, Paul Peel of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters Connie Glenn, and Doris (Phillip) Neely, of Grandview, Missouri, Cheryl (Terrance) Terry of Kansas City, Kansas; three grandsons, Kristofor, Kortez and Kamren; her God-Mother, Overseer Ethel l. Williams of Kansas City, Kansas; godbrother, Bruce Williams, god sister Tera (Marcus) McMiller, both of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; godchild, Cassandra (Tyronn) Ollie of Piper, Kansas; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
