KeeVon Untonio Robinson Mitchell I. was born November 13, 1978, to Dr. LaTrease Robinson and Larry Mitchell.
He attended Westport Senior High School where he was an all-star basketball player and ran track.
He went on to receive a certificate in Carpentry and Diesel Mechanics in 2013.
KeeVon was always the light in every room he stepped in, he never met any strangers, everyone was family, and he always showed so much love to everyone he came across, especially his family. KeeVon was known as the protector of his loved ones. To know him was to love him. KeeVon was a man who people watched and admired. He was a great influencer and role model. From high school to Facebook he was always making people laugh.
KeeVon loved his children and family. His kids were absolutely the light of his life. His admiration for fatherhood and making sure they were protected was unfailing. KeeVon did his absolute best to be a good father and raise his children with love and honor teaching them to be strong, stand up, and to live in their individuality. He also loved his mother wholeheartedly; she was his first love. She sacrificed and protected him throughout his upbringing. His words that he always quoted to his mom were, "You and Me, Baby Girl".
Being a grandfather did something amazing to him and his spirit. We can all testify that these two baby girls brightened his life, Kota and Keoni, whom he absolutely adored. KeeVon was united in marriage to Monic Mitchell in Catalina Island in 2021 where he planned the most romantic proposal and impromptu wedding.
KeeVon had an extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit. Once he set his mind to a project he stayed the course to completion, not letting anything stop him from success. He was so proud of his accomplishments. He always said once you commit to something, put your whole heart into it and never give up.
KeeVon also loved to travel and was happiest when he could travel the world. He got that from his mother. Ever since he could remember, she took him on trips.
He got his flare for dressing and interest in classic car restoration from his father.
KeeVon accepted God into his life at an early age of 8 years old with the evidence of the Holy Spirit in Muskogee, OK, at his uncle J.A. Reed, Sr.’s church. He was a member of Sheffield Family Worship Center for 26 years. He rededicated his life to God and was baptized in 2003. He was loved by many and taken away from us too soon.
KeeVon leaves his memory to be cherished through his mother, Dr. LaTrease Robinson; father, Larry Mitchell; his wife Monic Mitchell; his beloved children: KeeVon Mitchell II, Malik Mitchell, Joseph Mitchell, Derrion Mitchell, Kee’Shona Mitchell, and Untonio Mitchell; his two paw paw’s babies’, granddaughters who he adored, Kota and Keoni Mitchell; his cousins/brothers: Philchar and Caleb Robinson, Fletcher Clardy III; his sister Keivela Tarkington; brothers: Anthony and Kelly Mitchell; grandmother Virginia Mitchell; his godson A.J. Burnett Jr.; his special sisters: Shaneeta, Shavelle, Shania, Jessica, Felicia, Tomika, and Thelma; his bonus kids: Monay, Moneka, Phillip, Lloyati, Mikey, Serenity, and Rea, and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins, friends, and bonus children.
