Keith McDaniel was born on January 26, 1960 to Virgil and Travestine McDaniel in Kansas City, Missouri. He departed this world on December 31, 2024.. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil McDaniel and his sister Jackie (Jacqueline) McDaniel.
Keith knew and loved the Lord. He grew up in Providence Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Lewis A. McGhee.
Keith was a hard worker and would help anyone who asked for his help. He had a very good heart.
Keith graduated from Southeast High School in 1978. He went to Dental School and became a dental assistant. He worked for KC Southern Railroad and was a member of Local #663 Labor Union for a number of years.
Keith loved sports. As a kid, all of the older boys in the neighborhood wanted Keith to play on their team. He played little league baseball and football. He was a Kansas City Royals fan all of his life and also a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
His biggest passions were fishing and the casinos. He would go to his cousin Steve’s house and fish from sun-up to sun-down. He would also go to the casinos from sun-up to sun-down.
Keith was also the quintessential “pesky” little brother and the fun uncle.
He will be missed by family and friends. Keith leaves to mourn his transition, his mother Travestine McDaniel, three sisters Veronica McDaniel, Pamela McDaniel and Sharon McDaniel, two brothers Michael (Beverly) McDaniel and Eric McDaniel, one niece Nichol (Dwayne) Silomon, two nephews Aaron McDaniel and Jarrod McDaniel, one great-nephew Dolon Silomon and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
