Listen to Obituary

Kelly Rodney Fue, Sr., was born September 7, 1972, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Willa B. Fue (Edwards) and Richard Fue, II. Both parents, brother, Floyd Edwards, grandmother, Roberta Thomas, and nephew, Joseph Hunter preceded him in death.

Kelly as a child was affectionally known as “booby”. He was a big teddy bear, which he loved drawing pictures of. Kelly could be tough when he wanted but he always preferred to be a gentle bear.

Life wasn’t always smooth for him, but he persevered. As a child, Kelly was a rambunctious toddler, he always liked to take things apart just to see how they worked. As he got older, he still would get into mischief with his brother Richard, and his nephew, John. He also continued the trend as an adult following in our dad’s footsteps by tinkering and repairing cars. He was very handy working various odd jobs like hooking up the audio in cars. He also loved cooking, which he could do so well.  He also loved sweets, especially his big brother Richard’s pink pineapple cheesecake. He and his brother Richard started their own business, “The Fue Brothers Bar-B-Q”.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel Church of the Apostolic Faith. He loved to go to church to sing and praise the Lord and so loud to make sure everyone and God heard him. When he thought he wronged you he would always be humble and say, “I apologize or forgive me”. He truly had a gentle soul.

He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories: his granddaughter, Nehemiah Fue; four children: Kalicia Fue, Markeshia Fue, Akelia Fue, and Kelly Fue, Jr.; two sisters: Pennie Beard, and Marie Bomar; four brothers: Vincent Edwards, Richard Fue, III (Nikia), Carl Harris, Richard Bomar, and James Bomar; aunt Ruby; fiancée Beatrice Rodriguez; his Calvary Chapel Church family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He loved them all very dearly.
