Kenneth Dale Harris Sr.

Life and Early Years

Kenneth D. Harris Sr., 68, was born May 4, 1958, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Joseph Harris Jr. and Barbara J. Harris. He began his education at Blessed Sacrament Elementary School in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Lillis High School in 1976.

Kenneth worked for many years in the accounting field before retiring. Throughout his life, he was known for his warm personality, his love of family, and the many interests that brought him joy.

Passions and Personality

Kenneth enjoyed barbecuing in the mountains, taking long drives, and going on road trips. He loved the game of basketball and proudly told anyone who would listen that he was a superstar. He also had a deep appreciation for Cadillacs, a love he inherited from his father. Among his favorite joys were listening to Average White Band and celebrating his superhero and son-in-love, Clyde Turner.

In Loving Memory

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Harris Jr. and Barbara Harris, and by his best friend, Derrick Standifer (DT).

Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his children, DeJuana Lee, Kenneth Harris Jr., LaToya Turner (Clyde), and Jacob Harris; his siblings, Shirley Rainey, Darrell Harris, Ronald Harris Sr., and Terrell Harris (Maria Elena); his grandchildren, Victor Davis Jr., LaPashen Harris, Antanae Lee, Daleshyne Harris, Clyde Turner IV, and Caliya Turner; and his great-grandchildren, Cadren Gladney and Amir Beard.

He is also remembered with love by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and his lifelong friend, Toye Mitchell.
