Kevaun Hughes was born to Paula Henry and Pervis Hughes on November 30, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Longfellow Elementary School. His middle school years were split between Kauffman and Central Middle School. Kevaun enjoyed playing football as a member of the KC Dawgs. Kevaun also enjoyed playing basketball, going fishing, listening to music, making beats, rapping, and especially spending time with his baby sister Khamari. Kevaun was hardly ever serious and was always the life of the party and the center of attention. Kevaun was the second oldest of his siblings but the tallest of them all. Kevaun’s purpose on this earth was fulfilled on August 15, 2022.
Those preceding him to heaven were his maternal grandparents, Jacquelyn Long and Andre’ Henry.
Those who are charged with carrying on his memory are his parents, his siblings; Michael Hughes, Kenyon Henry, Keylan Henry, Percilla Hughes, and Khamari Henry; His great-grandmother, Barbara Long; great aunt, Jenell White; his uncles and aunts; Steffanie Long, Saundra Long, Joseph Long, Jeremy Davis-Long, Angelise Davis-Long, Deshawn Davis-Long, Mareno Jones, and Ayanna Jones to name a few. His cousins; Peyton Long, Arianna Hammonds, and Semaj Boyens; not to forget a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
