Kevin D Mayberry, Jr.

Kevin Dwain Mayberry, Jr. was born on January 16, 1984 to Kevin D. Mayberry, Sr. and Rhonda (Rock) Mayberry in Kansas City, Missouri. He was the 2nd child of four.

He attended McQuerry Elementary, Odessa Middle School, and Odessa High School where he graduated.

Kevin Jr. was full of life and loved to joke around with everyone, especially his little cousins. He had a smile that would light up the world. He loved being around family, especially his cousins. He would do anything for them. He would spend hours making and listening to music with them. He loved being outside cleaning his car and listening to music. He loved candy, and would have bags of candy at all times.

His relationship with his son, Landyn, was very special to him. They had a bond that was unbreakable.

Kevin’s light will shine on for many years through those that he touched throughout his life. He would do anything for anyone.

Kevin transitioned from this home to his eternal home with the Lord on December 25, 2019 at Lee’s Summit Point in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin D. Mayberry, Sr.; 2 grandmothers, Jean C. Mayberry and Margaret Harris; 1 grandfather, Walter L. Mayberry, Jr.; 1 aunt, Deborah D. Boldridge; and 2 cousins, Aaron L. Mayberry and Michele E. Boldridge.

He is survived by his mother, Rhonda Mayberry of Odessa, MO; 2 brothers, Jeffrey Rock (Sara) of Cheyenne, WY and Chauncey Mayberry, Sr. of Odessa, MO; 1 sister, Kayla Mayberry of Independence, MO; 1 son, Landyn Dawe of Blue Springs, MO; 2 nieces, Sienna Rock and Faith Mayberry; 3 nephews, Jaxen and Javian Rock, and Chauncey Mayberry, Jr.; 2 aunts, Linda Collins (Ralph) and Tonya Mayberry both of Higginsville, MO; 3 uncles Michael Boldridge and Rev. Gary Mayberry (Anita) both of Kansas City, MO and Walter Mayberry, III of Odessa, MO; several great aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends.
