Kierra Shanice McGee, 35, passed away on August 2, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on January 29, 1991, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Kenneth McGee and Belinda Ayers.

She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from De La Selle High School. After high school she worked her first job at Popeye’s Chicken as a cashier and frontline worker for 4 yrs Kierra also worked at Wendy’s for 3 years as a cashier.

In her beginning years Kierra was baptized at the age of two at Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church. In her later years she became a member of El ‘Shaddai International ministries, while she practiced her religion; she was also a praise dancer.

Kierra started a rock band at the age of 14, where she was the CEO, allowing her to mentor her two close cousins, La’Shantris and Saquan.

Kierra participated in so many activities, hobbies, and played a significant role in community involvement. Fashion became one of the biggest hobbies that lasted until her adulthood. Kierra began modeling and acting in movies, where she was starring in the Viral 6 TV series "Baddies." She began taking her talent to another level, traveling to different states pursuing her career and appearing on several podcast shows. Kierra became interested in the music world where she became a local rapper, displaying her musical talent. She was known around the world as” Key to the City.” Music became her reality; she focused on her music, shaping her unique sound. Kierra performed for the LGBTQ community, parades, and festivals on 18th Vine in Kansas City, which was a milestone for her. Kierra was full of life, love, and brought out the fun in any event she was a part of. Kierra will be missed and forever loved. In her 35 years she was definitely a servant of GOD. FLY HIGH K3Y!

Kierra was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ruth Ayers and Beatrice McGee; grandfather, Billy Triplett; great-grandmother, Alberta Ayers; cousins, DaQuan “DaDa” Ayers, Ericka Wilson, and Latefa McGee-Baker.

Kierra is survived by her parents, Kenneth McGee and Belinda Ayers; stepfather, Michael Langford Sr.; brothers, Mikah Langford and Kenneth McGee; sister, Keisha Roland, Kendra McGee, and Charity McGee; aunts, Lynn McGee, Constance McGee, Angie McGee, Cynthia Ayers, CoCo Ayers, Lilian Ayers, Lorine Ayers, Yolanda Dale, and Doris Blackburn; uncles, Tyrone Ayers, Billy Ayers, Leland Thomas, and Vonzell Stamps; godchildren, Quincy, Loyalty, and Tru; special friend Bri Strong; and a host of cousins and friends.
