Kim Steffie Creggett, 64, departed this life on

September 16, 2020 at St. Luke Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on March 10, 1956 to Ereea Courtney and Hester Pledger.

Kim grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and attended Lincoln High School. After high school, she began working for the Internal Revenue Service as a Data Conversion-Scripts for 30 years.  She retired in 2013.

She married Glenn Creggett in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were happily married for over 30 years.

Without fanfare, noise or commotion, Kim Courtney became a self-confident, forceful woman.  Kim was an assertive, strong-willed power-house attained through decades of experience, education and effort.

She was a loving mother to her three sons, neighbors and many friends who came within the vicinity of her residences. Her quiet, self-assurance and counsel inspired others to achieve their best. She generously shared with her parents, siblings and friends.

Kim Courtney's spirit endures forever through all people whom she encountered.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ereea Courtney; her mother, Hester Pledger; her sister, Linda Tanner; her brother, Eric Courtney; and her grandson, Jaden Maxwell Courtney.

She leaves to cherish lasting memories her husband, Glenn Creggett; her sons, Dinell M. Courtney (Jessica), Thomas L Courtney (Felicia), and Glenn Courtney; her step-son, Glenn White; her granddaughters, Simon Fulson, Debora Courtney, and Stephanie Courtney; her grandson, Kaiden Courtney; her great-grandchildren; her sisters, Cheryl Gail Carter of Kansas City, Missouri, Angel Pledger of Kansas City, Missouri, Florence Jeanette Dillard of Carrolton, Texas, Celena Courtney-Jones of San Francisco, California, and Kathy J. Courtney of Raleigh, North Carolina, her “sissy”, Lisa Parker of Kansas City, Missouri. And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
