Listen to Obituary

Kim M. Dankins, 61, passed away on September 27, 2022 at home in Kansas City, MO. She was born on August 24, 1961 in Kansas City, Mo to Abie Dankins and Lillie Mae Dankins. She grew up in Kansas City. Kim graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, MO.

Kim enjoyed watching Andy Griffith, the Beverly Hillbillies, and soap operas. She also loved to drink her beer while watching her favorite television shows.

Kim enjoyed attending family gatherings, especially when she knew there would be plenty of food. It was a well known fact that Kim’s presence at family gatherings would also include her taking several to-go plates home with her; she would literally have enough food to last for days!

Kim’s love for her family and friends would often be displayed by her calling to check om everyone. She wanted to know how everyone was doing, including your pet if you have one (her sister Janet can attest to this).

Her vibe would always fill the room with laughter. Kim was the same every time you encountered her, whether it was making you laugh or cussing you out, she never sugarcoated herself for anyone.

Kim will truly be missed, but she’ll never be forgotten; her light will continue to shine through her family and friends.

Kim was preceded in death by both parents, Abie Dankins, and Lillie Dankins; aunt, Juanita Johnson; and nephews, Denzell Stacker, and Alfred Brown.

Left to cherish her memories are 5 sisters, Shequitta Stacker, Renee Newton, Mayteena Dankins, LaDonna Griffin (Felton) and Janet Dankins; 1 brother, Don Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family of Kim M. Dankins would like to thank everyone for your support, encouraging words, and prayers during our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless and keep you.
