Kimberly Ann Reed was born August 28,1978 in Los Angeles, California to Glanda Reed and George Lee.
Kimberly lived a life filled with joy, compassion, and purpose. From the very beginning she had a light within her-a light that touched children, elders, family, friends, and even strangers who crossed her path. Her smile was easy, her spirit outgoing, and heart always open.
In 1997, after graduating from Southeast High School, Kimberly made one of the most meaningful decisions of her life - she gave her life to Christ and got baptized that same year. Her faith became a steady foundation, guiding her choices, her kindness, and the way she loved others so deeply.
Determined to build a future in service, Kimberly attended St. Louis Job Corps in 1998, where she earned her certification in Culinary Arts. Shortly after, she earned her teacher’s aide certificate where she worked in daycare, helping children with her gentle, kind, joyful, and passionate personality. Both career paths were another way to show how much she loved and cared for others around her. Kimberly continued her calling by caring for the elderly, offering comfort, patience, and kindness to everyone she served.
In 2000, Kimberly welcomed her daughter, Daryana, who became the heart and soul of her life. With her loving and warm spirit, Kimberly formed an unbreakable bond with her daughter. They shared countless special moments together, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and bliss. Kimberly’s greatest happiness came from the time they spent side by side, and she loved her daughter deeply and unconditionally.
Known for her outgoing personality, bright smile, and love for TikTok, it made her unforgettable. She was the person that made an ordinary moment turn into something bright. Above all, she loved her family fiercely, and they were her pride, joy, and the center of her world.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, George Lee and her brother Printara Jackson.
Kimberly leaves behind her daughter, Daryana James; her mother, Glanda Reed, her aunt, Shirley Davis; siblings: Denise (Sylvester) Webb, Lloyd Jackson, Julia (Ben) Dorris, Chris Lee, Terrence Lee; a loving family of nieces: Tatriyana,Benisha (Martise), Sitiria, Secarya, Krishell, Mon’jae, Tamiya; nephews: Arlester, Lloyd III, Deandre, Terrence Jr., Jaire, Printara, George III; great nieces and nephews, cousins, best friend, Nychole and special friends who she loved and cared for dearly.
