Our much-loved daughter, granddaughter, niece, sister, aunt, and mother, La’MaZhanea Marquee Bowman, 28, passed away in her home on December 19, 2024. Born Friday, August 30, 1996, at Baptist Medical Center at approximately 9:50pm in Kansas City, Missouri, and affectionately known as Nae, she is the oldest child of 3 children born to Keowa Willis (Norton). Nae grew up in south Kansas City, but moved to Arlington, Texas in 2013 for a couple of years with her mom and brother. She graduated with her high school diploma from North Texas Job Corps in McKinney, Texas shortly after enrollment and dreamed of one day becoming a dentist. Nae worked as an assistant manager at AMC Theatres and on a couple of occasions brought laughs and giggles to Price Choppers customers while dressed up as the big blue Price Chopper. Naturally gorgeous and kissed with a perfectly placed mole above her lip, she loved doing hair and makeup and keeping everyone around her up to date on the latest styles, fashions, and music. She also enjoyed attending music concerts, amusement parks, and spending time with her kids at the zoo, Chucky E Cheese, and playing video games with her oldest son and brother. She adored her four beautiful children and protected them like the fierce protector she was with everybody she loved. Her children were her entire world. She was very close to her family and believed in God, she was the friend you wanted and needed in your life. She had an infectious laugh, a smile that lit up the room, she was super funny, and without a doubt the life of the party. She was kind, sweet, radiant, loving, loyal, selfless, determined, brave, smart, spiritual, fun, quick witted, sassy, charming, unique, and stunningly beautiful, she was divine she was perfect! She was our Nae and she will forever be loved, never forgotten, and in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Zion Norton, grandfather’s Randy Cason, Earl Guy, and Ernest Bowman Sr., her uncles, LaChristian Guy, Christopher Bowman, Kevin Bowman, and Ernest Bowman Jr., and her great grandmother, Lois Harris.
