Larry D. Brown

Larry D. Brown, 63, departed this life on February 16, 2024, at University Health in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on April 8, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri to Charles H. Brown and Doris Jean Brown.

He grew up in Kansas City, graduating from Northeast High School. After high school, he attended Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri where he received an Associate Degree in Business.  He later joined the United States Army in 1979. He achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He was a member of Paradise Missionary Baptist Church

Larry later began working for KCCC as a counselor, where he worked for 10 years.  He retired in 2006. He married Cherie Brown in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Brown and Doris Jean Brown.

He is survived by his spouse, Cherie Brown; brothers, Kenneth Brown, Hubert Brown, III,  Ronald Brown, Charles Ricky, Chester Lee Brown, and Marcus Hankins; five daughters, Tanisha (Tan), Tiesha (Tie), Tomisha (Tom Tom), TeTatyana (Te-Tay) and Cherlarnae (Ms Cherlay );1 son Antuwan Francis; special brothers, Paul Simms (Sheila) and Robert Harris (Lilia).
