Faith, joy, and love. Those are the words that best describe Larry Gene Parker who passed away peacefully at his home in Belton, MO on the morning of September 3, 2025.
Larry was born on October 17, 1947 in Kansas City, MO to Eugene Gilmore and Sadie Parker and was one of nine boys. He is survived by his brothers Leroy Parker and Gary Parker.
A devoted husband, Larry was happily married to the love of his life and best friend Monica Parker and was cherished by all of his in-laws. The couple celebrated 37 years of marriage just two days before he passed.
Larry was a father to five children: Larry Parker, who passed in August 2009, Lisa Parker, OunJanise Williams, Kharissa Parker, and Dyamond Taylor. He was a beloved and adored grandfather and great-grandfather to many with a host of nieces and nephews.
Larry had an infectious laugh and was rarely seen without a smile. His kindness, compassion, and empathy truly reflected the heart of Christ.
Although he is greatly missed, we are comforted in knowing he heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant” and was ushered into the presence of the Lord.
