Larry Riley

Larry Darnell Riley was born in Dermott, Arkansas on August 18, 1950, to Irma Lee Riley and David Riley.   Larry and his family moved from Dermott, Arkansas to Kansas City, KS and from there the family moved from Kansas City, MO where he and his siblings were raised.

Larry graduated Westport High School and was immediately hired by AT&T as a Computer Programmer in 1968.  Not long after being hired he was drafted into the United States Air Force as an Airplane Mechanic on April 11, 1969, where he was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War.  He left with a Honorable Discharge four years later in 1973 and returned to AT&T for the next 30 years where he retired at the age of 48.

Knowing he had a family to support; he was hired by Oracle Corporation as a Systems Analyst in 2003 where he worked for them until he took a Disability Retirement in 2011.

Larry is survived by his wife: Patricia Paprzycki-Riley; three daughters: Corrine Caswell-Riley, Victoria Leigh Riley of Orlando, FL, and Alexandra Marie Riley; grandson: Anthony Dominic Gomez of West Chester, OH; brother: William “Willie” Riley of Kansas City, MO; sisters: Barbara “Bobbie” Couser, Joyce Riley-Townser of Lee’s Summit, MO and Margie Riley of Kansas City, MO; and his sister-in-law: Alyce Riley of Kansas City, MO. He also is survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins.
