Latoya Griffin

Ms. LaToya D. Griffin aka Toya was born November 10, 1985, to the union of Lennie and Regina Barnes. She was the oldest of five children. LaToya was educated in the Kansas City, KS. She graduated from the School of the Blind in 2004.

Toya had a voice hummingbird, everyone loved to hear her sing. She was  even a contestant on American Idol to help explore her dreams as a singer. “TT” Toya known by her nieces and nephews also loved to fish, crack jokes, and do fun activities with the kids.

Toya departed this early life on April 21, 2022.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Parents: Lennie and Regina Barnes; Soul mate: Eddie Jones; Daughters: Kyree McAbee, Erion McAbee, Gioni (GG) Jones; Sons: Eric McAbee and Zion Jones. One sister: LaTonya Griffin (Goodie); Three brothers: Isiah Barnes, DShaun Barnes and Joshua Barnes.

Toya also had many special nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends and who also love and will miss her dearly.
