Lawrence was born on December 24, 2004, to the union of Larry Anderson and Janet Phillips-Anderson. Lawrence now rests in peace with his beloved mother, Janet Phillips-Anderson, both joined in death on August 21, 2025. Also, preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents: James and Maxine Phillips; maternal uncles: James Kelton and Kevin Phillips; and maternal aunt Tricia Phillips.
Lawrence was a source of joy and light to all who knew him.
Though his time with us was brief, his bright smile, kind heart, and the love that he shared left a lasting impact on everyone around him. Primarily raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Lawrence graduated from Van Horn High School in 2023. He then continued his education by attending the University of Kansas.
Lawrence had a passion for music and enjoyed rapping and producing beats with his cousins and friends. His passion for music gave him a unique voice that allowed him to express his creativity. Beyond his musical talent, Lawrence was a young entrepreneur with a remarkable intelligence for numbers and business ownership. He was especially proud of his recent accomplishment of starting his own janitorial franchise, which was a testament to his drive, determination, and vision for his future and those around him.
He leaves behind to treasure his memory: his father, Larry Anderson; his sister, Lauren Anderson; his brothers: T’Mel and Xavier Anderson; his nieces: T’Liyah and Royalty Anderson; and nephews: T’Mel Jr. and Tu’Nye Anderson. He also leaves his best friend, Angelo Marmolejo; his girlfriend, Jayla Banks; his paternal grandmother, Terry Anderson, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
