Lazona Terell Stovall

Lazona Terrell Stovall of McKinney, Texas formerly of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on February 9, 2025, at the of age 56. She was born on September 1, 1968, in Kansas City, Missouri, to David Dennis Brown and Sheron Louella Stovall.

Lazona was a passionate advocate for education, earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees. Her dedication to learning and teaching was evident throughout her life, as she devoted herself to educating and inspiring the young minds of tomorrow. As a teacher, she left an indelible mark on her students and colleagues alike. A longtime member of Sheffield Assembly of God in Kansas City, Missouri, Lazona found comfort and community in her faith. Lazona will be fondly remembered and dearly missed for her kindness, generosity, and devotion to those she loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, colleagues, and students.

She is survived by her son, Xander Stovall of McKinney, Texas; mother, Sheron Blaylock of Kansas City, Missouri; father, David Brown, also of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of other loving family and cherished friends.

Lazona was preceded in death by her son, Xavier Stovall.
