Ledell B. Lewis

Ledell passed away on December 25, 2024, in the comfort of his home in Grandview, Missouri. He was born on August 18, 1959, in Madison County, Mississippi to Wilbur Lewis and Mamie Rankin.

He attended Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After high school he had various jobs in cooking. He worked for Winstead’s, Le Peep, First Watch, as a manager for 3 years, and Zarda for 5 plus years as a Pit Master. He also worked at a series of nursing homes in Kansas and Missouri, at a Rehab Center Mirror Inc., as a kitchen manager, driver, staff, and resident support, until his health began to decline, which he dealt with for 8 years.

Ledell was happily married to Angela D. Lewis for 35 years. They shared 2 children together, Porsha Lewis & Kendell Lewis, and a son prior to marriage, Christopher Griswold.

Ledell was preceded in death by his: parents Wilbur & Mamie Lewis, eldest Sister Shirley Morris (KCMO), twin brother Cledell Leonard Lewis (STL MO) & older brother Carl Lewis (KCMO).

He is survived by wife Angela, children: Chris, Porsha & Kendell, grandchildren: Christionna, Ni’Onna & NaMire’, 4 great grandchildren, brother Wilbur Lewis (KCMO), sister Linda Clayton (MS), bonus sister/ friend Pricilla & Shelia, best friend of 35 years Angelo Thomas, special daughter/niece Tiffany, son/nephew Brandon & Daniel, special nieces: Shanda and Rheyna,  bonus nephew Vince(wife) (ATL) special cousins: Walter and Carolyn of (MS), a host of cousins, nieces, nephews friends, and acquaintance.
